The Southern Credit Union is a federally insured, not-for-profit financial cooperative and the largest credit union based in Fayette County, Georgia. Residents and workers in Fayette County are eligible for membership, and once you join, you're a member for life. We offer a variety of deposit accounts, consumer loans, and mortgage-related lending products. Profits are returned to members through higher dividend rates on savings, lower loan rates, and low or no fees on products and services. The Southern is owned by its members and governed by a member-elected board of directors. Anyone living or working in Fayette County is eligible for membership, and once a member, anyone related by blood or marriage is also welcome to join The Southern!
