DIY Coconut Sugar Lip Scrub

The cold winter weather can really take a toll on your lips, leaving them dry and cracked. Save your cash and pamper your lips at home with this easy DIY lip scrub.

Gather your supplies:  honey, coconut oil, sugar, spoon, small mixing bowl, and a small container.

In a small mixing bowl add:

  • ½ tsp honey
  • ½ teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Stir all ingredients together with spoon until completely mixed

Use the same spoon to add the mixture to your container.

Using your finger, scoop some of the scrub and rub on your lips. Using circular motion, scrub for two minutes to make sure you get all of the dead skin off your lips. Rinse off with water and put a little extra coconut oil on your lips to moisturize if needed. Your lips will thank you.

DIY Whipped Lavender Body Butter

The dry winter air can leave your skin feeling dehydrated. In a few minutes you can mix up your own luxurious and great smelling body butter, which promises to leave your skin feeling buttery soft.

Gather your supplies: large mixing bowl, hand mixer, your favorite lavender essential oil, shea butter, coconut oil, almond oil, mixing spoon, small 4 oz. mason jar.

In mixing bowl add the following ingredients:

  • ½ cup shea butter
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 T. almond oil

Approx. 60 drops lavender essential oil (or another scent if preferred)

Use hand mixer to mix all ingredients until light and fluffy.

Use mixing spoon to fill mason jar with the body butter

After a shower or bath, slather the whipped lavender body butter on any dry skin areas and enjoy the luxurious moisture—your skin will feel soft and hydrated.

Bonus: The lavender essential oil will help you relax and sleep like a baby.
