In order to offer excellence in charity funding to nearby communities while continuing to work in our area as well, the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty is proud to announce they are becoming the Northern Cincinnati Foundation.
In recent years, the Foundation has supported donor families from communities including Indian Hill, Loveland, Madeira, Mason and Deerfield.
“We’re now going to be formally supporting the philanthropic needs for those living in northern Hamilton County,” says Erin Clemons, President and CEO of the Northern Cincinnati Foundation. “We’ll also serve Butler, Warren and Clermont counties.”
“This growth happened organically,” Erin continues. “Initially, we focused our services within the townships of West Chester and Liberty—however, over time, our impact grew outside of those communities. In recent years, we have found that more than 50% of our growth has been outside those two townships”.
Community foundations like this one provide valuable grants to nonprofit organizations—one of the most visible ways they impact our communities.
Another part of the Foundation’s mission is to help individuals and families allocate money to worthy causes through donor-advised funds. These investment accounts grow the impact that families can have with their charitable giving. Donors can discuss potential grant recipients with the Foundation’s staff, and receive guidance about charitable needs they hope to support.
With this wider scope and vision comes the opportunity to fund nonprofit work that reaches even more people.
“Moving forward into 2022, we’ll be expanding our grants process. We’ll be able to fund organizations for the work they are doing in other communities, expanding our impact,” says Erin. “A lot of nonprofits will be excited about this—they will be able to apply for grant funds that support the Northern Cincinnati region.”
