Take-and-Bake with Blue Heron is Back

The holidays are upon us and we are so excited for Blue Heron Brewery to roll out its delicious take-and-bake meals for the third year in a row. After being such a huge hit in past years, the take-and-bake meals are making a comeback in 2022 for those who want a restaurant-quality meal for their family get-together, but don't want to leave the house.

Similar to previous years, Blue Heron will offer take-and-bake meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas that can be ordered for families of four or 10. And although the meals have been coined "take-and-bake," they are anything like your average TV dinner. In fact, each meal is specially curated by the culinary team at Blue Heron, utilizing unique flavors of the season, fresh ingredients and specific reheat instructions. The service is completely touchless – meaning all you have to do is drive up and the Blue Heron team will load your meal into your car.

For Thanksgiving, Ben Erjavec, Blue Heron's executive chef and co-owner, and his team have come up with a delicious menu. It features Chef Ben's Famous Stuffing, roasted garlic parmesan whipped potatoes, a roasted turkey (size depending on the family size), homemade cranberry relish, fresh green beans and dessert. It even includes a bottle of wine.

While the Christmas menu has not been finalized at the time this article was written, Chef Ben expects it will be very similar to last year's. The Christmas menu for 2020 was a huge success, featuring a char-grilled filet mignon and an oven-baked chicken Florentine, seafood pasta with shrimp, scallops and crab, herb focaccia with garlic compound butter, aged cheddar and chive twice-baked potatoes and even peppermint hot chocolate brownies.

What's more, is that Blue Heron makes the process of ordering and picking up the meals almost as easy as enjoying them. Simply order on the website, BlueHeronMedina.com, and pick up your meal during the specified pick-up time.

For each meal, there is also the option to add special additions, such as Blue Heron beer. Blue Heron's head brewer and co-owner, Mike Piazza, offers more than 16 in-house drafts that are available in cans and crowlers to go. Some of his delicious brew offerings include Twas the Heron's First Christmas - Christmas Ale; Hazy Wife, Hazy Life NE Style Hazy IPA; the Blue Heron IPA and more.
