Materials:

  • Scissors – gardening shears also work
  • Vase
  • Plant food – pre-made bouquets normally come with a packet of plant food
  • Water
  • Flowers – primary, secondary and greenery

Step 1: Remove extra foliage to create clean stems.

Step 2: Measure the flowers against the vase and cut them to size. Cut the flowers at a diagonal so they absorb more water and live longer.

Step 3: Fill the vase halfway with water.

Step 4: Pour plant food into the water. Stir if needed.

Step 5: Criss-cross the foliage to create a base for the flowers.

Step 6: Add in your focal flowers, the ones you want to highlight. Be sure they are spread out.

Step 7: Add in the secondary flowers. These are usually smaller than the focal flowers.
