Satisfy Your Skin

Elevated Dermatology's team of board-certified dermatologists are ready to help take your skin care to the next level.

A new year opens doors to new opportunities, whether that’s getting outside more, trying fresh family activities or finishing that forgotten DIY project. In addition to checking off that resolution list, make feeling confident in your own skin a priority—literally. Caring for your skin by visiting a dermatologist not only increases your confidence, it also makes sure your body is functioning properly. It’s time to step your skin care up from cheap sheet masks.

Elevated Dermatology and Skin Cancer Surgery Center is a one-stop-shop when caring for your skin care needs. The team at Elevated Dermatology helps with a wide array of skin concerns from redness to cancer. Dr. Kate Messana, DO, FAOCD, FAAD, and Dr. Christopher Messana, DO, FAOCD, FAAD, ACMS, opened Elevated Dermatology in 2017 with the aim of bringing comprehensive, patient-focused dermatological care to Parker. Dr. Zachary Jones, MD, FAAD, joined the team in 2020.

“As a physician-owned, independent, private practice, we have tailored Elevated Dermatology to best serve the needs of the community,” explains Dr. Chris. “We have only board-certified dermatologists and we have the fellowship-trained subspecialists needed to provide the highest level of care possible.”

Your regular healthcare provider may not be versed in the all the diverse skin-related problems that a board-certified dermatologist is. The physicians at Elevated Dermatology are able to provide appropriate and complex care in-office, increasing the odds of the best outcome.

This patient-based approach is carried throughout the Elevated Dermatology team. Whether you’re walking in for the first time or have the office on speed dial, you’re treated like family.

“I enjoy that [dermatology] allows [me] to see patients of all ages and follow them through the course of their life,” says Dr. Zach. “This affords me the opportunity to establish meaningful and fulfilling relationships with my patients.”

Living in Colorado, it’s especially important to keep a close eye on your skin’s health. The high elevation and 300 days of sunshine leave Coloradans at higher risk of skin-damaged skin. UV damage can manifest on skin as wrinkles, age spots and even skin cancer.

“Prevention is the best strategy,” Dr. Zach states. “Use of sunscreen, hats and sun-protective clothing goes a long way in reducing skin cancer risk. For those concerned about wrinkles and age spots, sun protection is also the best preventative treatment to keep skin looking young.”

Although caring for and protecting your skin are important, Dr. Kate strives to also educate her patients about their skin. She wants them to be able to understand why something is happening and how different treatments work to treat an ailment.

“I believe it’s an art to practice dermatology,” Dr. Kate says. “Taking care of your skin is not as tough as you might think. All you have to do is understand why.”

When it comes down to it, visiting a dermatologist can be as important as visiting your family doctor. Different diseases can present themselves in your skin and it’s crucial to find a cause before anything worsens. Even seeing a dermatologist for aesthetic reasons is key to boosting your confidence and feeling good in your body. If you’re concerned about a skin spot, a rash, a lesion or another problem area, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Elevated Dermatology team.

“We will take it from there,” Dr. Kate exclaims.
