The new year gives us a chance to reset and perhaps make improvements in multiple areas of our lives. Our New Year’s resolutions often revolve around weight loss and exercise. Here are some additional, healthy resolution ideas for 2023:
-
Massage: get a massage every month to relieve pain, enhance mobility, and cut down on stress and inflammation.
-
Recipes: try at least one new, healthy recipe every week incorporating different vegetables and/or lean proteins.
-
Seek care: see your doctors about symptoms you’ve been ignoring, or set up preventative care appointments such as mammograms and colon screenings. Knowing what’s happening with your body will help lower your stress level and improve your overall health.
-
Declutter a room each month: less clutter leads to better mental focus, improved relationships, a lower risk of allergies and asthma, and better sleep.
-
Nurture your friendships: it's good for your soul! But also the Mayo Clinic says adults with strong social connections often have a reduced risk of high blood pressure, depression, and an unhealthy body mass index (BMI).
Whatever you choose for resolutions, consider tracking your progress for accountability and so you can celebrate your success.
