Movies to Watch in August

August brings a variety of movies coming to streaming services. With all the different streaming services, it can be hard to keep up with which movies are coming out on which provider. That's why I put together A Movie Review. It's an easy way to find the top movie selections for the week and month. Below are my top selections of what to watch the first week of August 2020 on Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus and Prime.

Hulu

The Peanut Butter Falcon

Featuring: Shia LeBeouf, Zack Gottsagen, Bruce Dern and Dakota Johnson

Release: Aug. 2, 2020

Synopsis: "After running away from a residential nursing home to pursue his dream of becoming a pro wrestler, a man who has Down syndrome befriends an outlaw (Shia LeBeouf) who becomes his coach and ally."

Killing Hasselhoff

Featuring: David Hasselhoff and Kim Jeong

Release: Aug. 1, 2020

Synopsis: "A man in a high stakes celebrity death pool quickly loses everything: his business, his bank account, his home, and his fiancée. He snaps, then realizes the only way to get his life back on track. He'll have to murder his own celebrity. He'll have to kill Hasselhoff."

The Peanuts Movie

Release date: Aug. 7, 2020

Synopsis: "Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved 'Peanuts' gang make their big-screen debut, like they’ve never been seen before, in state of the art 3D animation. "

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge: Adventure Awaits

Release date: Aug. 7, 2020

Synopsis: "Kazuda Xiono, a young pilot for the Resistance, is tasked with a top secret mission to investigate the First Order, a growing threat in the galaxy. Four Rebels on the run from dark forces, struggle to survive after crash landing in an unknown system."

John Lewis: Get in the Way

Release: Currently available

Synopsis: "Follow the journey of civil rights hero, congressman, and human rights champion John Lewis. At the Selma March, Lewis came face-to-face with club-wielding troopers and exemplified non-violence. Lewis is considered the conscience of Congress."
