This has been a family favorite for many years. It’s just the sweetest way to say hello to summertime!!
While the crust is baking, prepare the glaze by combining the Jello, sugar, water and cornstarch and cook it till its thick enough to coat the back of the spoon like shown in the video below.
Quarter your washed and cleaned strawberries and fill up your crust pretty full but allow room for your glaze. When the strawberries are all cut up its time to pour on the glaze. After this step, put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes to allow the glaze to set up just a bit.
After being in the fridge for about 30 minutes, your now ready to add the final step and that’s the cool whip. Spread it thick enough to cover all the strawberries. Sometimes, for extra goodness, add a little more then what it calls for.
And last but not least, add the prettiest strawberry from the box right on top!!
