Pier 6 Seafood & Oyster House in San Leon, near Kemah, is the brainchild of lifelong oysterman Raz Halili whose family has been oyster fishing on the Gulf Coast since the 1970s. After years of running the family's business, Prestige Oysters, Halili decided to take the next step and open a restaurant showcasing the Texas Gulf coast's bounty. To ensure delicious flavors and innovation in the kitchen, he tapped award-winning chef Joe Cervantez, best known for his time at Brennan's of Houston.
About an hour's drive from Houston, the restaurant sits right on the water, offering beautiful views and abundant indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is full of seafood classics like Shrimp Cocktail and Grilled Tuna, but executive chef Cervantez also lets his talent shine with dishes like Tuna Tostada and Piri Piri Grilled Shrimp.
