The Perfect Skirt for Moms

Rock a Midi Length at the Park

Article by Stephanie Parenza

Let’s first make one thing clear, you will see me in a variety of skirt lengths and styles throughout the fall season; however, I am obsessed and do believe that the midi skirt is perfect for moms. To prove my case, let’s examine the other options first.

Mini skirt: Sassy enough to make any mom feel like a million bucks, especially when paired with a blouse and over-the-knee boots. Throw this cute little sassy number in with mom life and you have a disaster. Don’t plan on bending over to pick up your child or spending time playing with toys on the floor. This style of skirt is best saved for date night.

Maxi skirt: A respectable and comfortable length while going through the daily tasks of mom life; however, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve snagged the bottom on a pair of shoes or had a kid step on it. While I do think this style is wearable, one must decide if the risk of exposure is worth it.

So now we get to the midi skirt, the version that I think is perfect for living the mom life. The length is just right, not too short and not too long, and the fit is just as comfortable as a maxi. The midi skirt can be paired with tennis shoes, booties, heels, etc. making it a very versatile piece for any activity at any time of the day.

I’ve chosen to pair it here with a sweater and booties that I would feel comfortable in with or without the kids around. I’ve also thrown on sandals and a tank top before making it even more casual.

This style is made for the mom who still wants to rock a skirt while at the park.
