Ladies and gents, I am proud to share with you the sweetest little powder room you will ever see! If you have been following me for a while you already know my love affair with wallpaper, color, and this Latowana Lakehouse project.

A Lake House Deck Gets Glammed Up

If you are just joining me...welcome to a happy house filled with turquoise doors, bold statement wallpapers, and all the colors of the rainbow.

As you can see, this bathroom is filled with builder-grade everything. Pay close attention, and you will see we did not remove the builder grade anything. We opted to be budget friendly and work with what was there, utilizing the power of paint.

I wanted a wallpaper bright enough to overcompensate for the lack of natural light. This tiny powder room definitely suffered from a natural light complex. So we threw caution to the wind and had all the doors painted a breath-taking turquoise.

It changed the entire vibe of the house. While the doors were being painted I had the painters get after the cabinet/vanity with a cool grey as a safe color to offset the bright wallpaper we had yet to pick out.

I mean seriously, this hand painted wallpaper from @walnutwallpaper is like a piece of art that makes you want to sit on the loo till your legs fall asleep, which has happened.

Of course I relied on @anthropologie accessories for tszujing up this spectacular bird bath. I can always count on them to come through with items that look like they were made just for the room. I want to curl up on this fuzzy rug whilst staring at the most perfect hand painted hardware ever.

Society6 is where I went to find most off the wall conversation pieces. If you are not familiar with them, allow me to explain.

Artists from all over submit their work. Society6 prints it on just about anything. It is a great way to find some very talented artists and so comforting to know there really is something for everyone. You will be amazed at how specifically outrageous my requests are sometimes and somehow they have it. You want  towels with Frida's beautiful face on it? Done. Frida freaking towels, people!

You know the saying dynamite comes in small packages? This little washroom is a perfect example of that. Just about everyone has a dark little windowless bathroom or a bathroom with boring builder grade everything. By adding a fun printed wallpaper, painting existing cabinets, replacing the hardware, and throwing a few cute accessories in, I promise you will be happy as a lark with the dramatic changes you can make.
