Oh Switzerland, you have so much of my heart!
We ended our Switzerland trip in the Swiss Alps and Lausanne. I mean, can you really go to Switzerland and not hike the Swiss Alps?! We stayed in a village called, Les Diablerets, which is a small ski resort on the north side of the Alps. Although we didn’t get any snow, we still got to see the breathtaking views that the Alps has to offer.
The Diablerets peak is about 10,500 feet high and let me tell you, this was the hardest hike I have ever done. It was completely uphill, and let’s face it, my workout routine had been nonexistent for two months because of my travels. (I really have to work on that.)
On the hike, we saw cows, baby goats, horses and of course a few Swiss mountain dogs (Bernese)!
The drive from Les Diablerets to Lausanne was about an hour and a half. The drive itself was very scenic, with views of vineyards, towns and the ever so beautiful Lake Geneva. We stopped at the cutest town called Chexbres, which sat right in front of the lake.
My favorite part? The city was full of vineyards and wineries! I have always dreamt of having asSummer house in Napa and having my own vineyard. Now I want that in Switzerland too! A girl can dream, right?
We ended the afternoon in Lausanne, and ate some delicious burgers and drank Rivella by the lake. Hashtag bliss.
