About Us

The beignet was started by a husband-wife duo as a way to make Kansas City smile from eating the best Cajun cuisine in town. We wanted a meal here to be filled with Southern hospitality, so we use an open-kitchen layout so you can see our chef's passion and care shine through in every dish we cook up. With our Voodoo candle section and authentic gumbo and beignets, you'll feel like you've left Missouri and gone straight to Louisiana.
