Recipes For Success

Boerne Women Who Excel at Their Professions

JORJA DURDEN, MARKETING DIRECTOR, GRIT CO.

We believe in The Lord and honoring Him in all we do.  And we have true leaders, designers, and craftsmen that are passionate about the work they do — all on the same team!

**My father-in-law started Cherokee Rose Vineyard in 2015 as a passion-project for our family. With the help of volunteers, we all hand-pick the grapes and transfer them to Bending Branch winery in Comfort where Dr. Bob Young creates, bottles, and sells Cherokee Rose Malbec!

JOI SANDERS, OWNER/CO-MGR/WINE SPECIALIST, RICHTER FAMILY RESTAURANTS

www.richterboerne.com

Our businesses at 153 Main Street are becoming more successful and we have finished the set up (building the structure, hiring our central team and creating a basic theme). My ultimate goal is always a moving target. What has helped us move this project forward is being flexible and always coming up with new ideas. Opening the restaurant during the pandemic made us think outside the box most of the time and what we thought it was going to look like when we started isn’t what came to fruition. Having a great partner and team is the best. Every time Guy and I disagreed on a design or plan it made the outcome better. Our team of managers is incredibly creative, hardworking and open to new ideas. Becoming part of the Boerne community is the fun part of my work. Working with our good friends at the Chamber, HCWIB and EDC has made us! Working with other businesses in Boerne has been great and I really feel like the saying “a rising tide raises all boats” is true.
