Creating a line-up of fun at-home activities is...a lot.
Especially right now, when moms and dads around the country have experienced a marathon stretch of playing the role of parent, professional, teacher, chef, playmate, and entertainer. We're rounding out week 10 of quarantine and the creative well has run dry over here, my friends.
But that's not what a toddler eager and needing to play wants to hear.
As the country slowly shifts back to "normal", we're anticipating that still includes more time at home than we'd like - which feels especially hard during a season dedicated to childhood fun and exploring. Looking for a new activity to add to the mix? I'd like to introduce you to a cabin fever cure: bubble foam.
This super simple, two ingredient sensory play activity has barely any prep work and will keep busy little hands occupied for *at least* half an hour (#MomLifeWin). There are multiple recipes online, but in our house we stick to the basic creation below. It works great at the kitchen table but is even more fun outside where your kiddos can really get into it. Literally. Since this recipe uses bubble bath, it can safely become a more what we'll call "immersive" experience.
