Live Like a Local at The Chloe in New Orleans

Enjoy a weekend getaway in a unique Uptown mansion inspired by a city known for its cosmopolitan charm

Though it was years in the making, the timing of The Chloe’s grand opening—amid uncertainty and safety precautions during a global pandemic—was delayed until October 2020. The result, from acclaimed New Orleans-based restaurateur Robert LeBlanc and designer Sara Ruffin Costello, is a quaint boutique property that creates a small, homey atmosphere that is steeped in area culture.

Designed to instill a sense of the Old-world glamour that Victorian-era mansion that houses the hotel was originally built and set in the bustling Uptown neighborhood known for its grand homes on the path of the St. Charles streetcar.

Each of the hotel’s 14 sun-drenched guest rooms is unique and mixes eclectic with modern amenities. Think four-poster beds, soaking tubs, vintage furniture, and in-room record players accompanied by curated vinyl collections—a nod to the city’s rich musical history provided by Peaches Records, a New Orleans institution since the 70s.

Guests can cozy up in their stylish room, filled with locally made bath products and bathrobes, and enjoy a leisurely bite with the hotel’s complimentary in-room breakfast or if the occasion calls for it a selection of add-ons like daily fresh flowers and a bottle of sommelier-selected Champagne, a daily chef’s selection of charcuterie and cheese served with pre-batched cocktails are also available.

The restaurant and bar offer modern spins on old classics: Creole-influenced fare made with local seasonal ingredients as well as classic NOLA cocktails.

The Chloe is dedicated to their recycling program and is committed to recycling all the glass from the hotel, restaurant and bar with the help of Glass Half Full New Orleans, a company in its first year that recycles glass into glass-sand to be used for art, sandblasting media, soil mixtures, landscaping and in the future, possibly beach sand and sand for coastal restoration.
