Finding the perfect home for a senior is never an easy task. Mark Globus, a native Minnesotan, encountered this difficult path as he looked for a place to transition his mother of 85 from her single-family house to a new home for the next stage in her life. “Seniors are so important to the community," Mark says. "They’re the collective memory of the community, city and society. One of our goals at Global Pointe is to really listen to the needs of our residents and offer them a great lifestyle.”
Having grown up in the area, Mark knew that the large vacant lot situated right on the northwest corner of Highway 100 and I-394, just four minutes from downtown Minneapolis, would be the perfect area for a new luxury senior living building.
"The key to visiting someone is having them live in a close, central location," Mark says. "The closeness and proximity factor is so important to be able to make visits happen on a regular basis.”
The idea behind this unique care facility was to keep it small and have a boutique feeling along with a wide array of amenities. It is a place that residents feel good to come home to while not having to give up any luxuries that they are accustomed to.
“At Global Pointe, we are trying to create an excitement factor and comfort factor where seniors don’t feel as if it’s a sacrifice to make the transition,” Mark says.
This senior community offers shorter hallways, floor-to-ceiling windows and high-end finishes with a full range of lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living and memory care. Global Pointe will bring the care needed right to your specific apartment. It also offers additional amenities including multiple healthy and delicious dining options. The main dining room will be a full-service restaurant, or one can also enjoy the Café Bistro which has a more casual fare. Global Pointe will also feature a salon spa, fitness center, movie theater, billiards, craft room, activity center, library and an outdoor veranda equipped with a fire pit and gas grill.
