EP Gives Goes Virtual

Celebrating 40 Years of Local Giving

This year’s Eden Prairie Community Foundation (EPCF) annual event, EP Gives, is going virtual! Everyone is invited and there is no cost to attend.

Since 1981, EPCF has awarded millions to benefit Eden Prairie residents in the areas of social services, recreation and the environment, arts and culture, and education.

The 45-minute event will be emceed by Fox Morning News anchor Tom Butler. You will have a chance to bid on some great items in our online auction, including:

  • Spa experience packages
  • Home remodeling and interior design services
  • Wall of wine
  • Beer package
  • Travel packages
  • Scenic flight in WWII-era American military aircraft
  • Sunset pontoon cruise on Lake Riley for 8 with Let’s Go Fishing
  • and more!

The proceeds will benefit Eden Prairie individuals and families struggling to make ends meet, strengthen community services, provide youth scholarships, and so much more. “Although we can’t be together in person, we are excited this new format will allow everyone to attend to learn about our work and how they can get involved,” said EPCF board chair Tina Palmer. “This EP Gives will be the best yet!”

2020 was a challenging year for everyone. EPCF stepped up and was one of the first organizations in the Twin Cities to start a COVID-19 response fund, asking residents and businesses to donate so that food and other essentials could continue to be provided to Eden Prairie residents in need.

The response has been heartwarming. More than $75,000 has been contributed and the fund continues to grow. “The donor generosity during these challenging times has been especially appreciated,” said Mark Weber, EPCF executive director.

One example of the impact from the Covid-19 response fund was a grant from EPCF to help low-income families with rental assistance, provide beds for up to 50 households, and offer grief counseling, personal protection equipment, food for school children, and other vital services to those in need.

Please visit epcommunityfoundation.org to learn more and register for this great event. Can’t attend? You can still bid on auction items or make a contribution online.
