We Are Thankful

The team at Missoula Valley Lifestyle gives thanks

Mike Tucker

Firstly, I'm thankful for my family, and my children as well as our new grandson, Max, who was just brought into the world this year. I’m thankful for my health. I’m thankful for all the friendships—old and new—we’ve been blessed to have and for the support we’ve been given. I’m thankful to have had the parents I had who taught me to live and love what I have and to live each day to it fullest.

The small things—the intricacies of my life. I'm most thankful for the way the morning light streams through the windows of my home, the involuntary faces my baby makes when he sleeps, the relentless joy of my little lap dog. Dirty clothes and dishes, signifying that we've done the work, we've eaten good. A well made latte. Sleep. A hot shower. And the big things, too. My family and all the love that exists there.

Erika Fredrickson

I'm thankful for my parents' backyard at the base of Mount Jumbo, where I spent my childhood building forts and running through wildflowers. For the evenings drinking wine in this paradise of pear and plum trees, my daughter and her two cousins galloping through the grass. I'm thankful for the food my brother or dad makes, dessert made by my mom, and the way the summer evening becomes an oasis untouched by crisis or sorrow.

Erika Spaulding

Of the many things I find myself grateful for, 2020 has highlighted the simple things. In this moment I am most grateful for a breath of clean air, a reminder that I'm cared for from a loved one, and a good read that lets me escape when there's nowhere to go.

Faith + Family + Friends. These three, nothing more, nothing less!

I'm thankful for all of the little kindnesses I've seen and felt from so many people this year. From the phone calls with friends during quarantine to the long hugs from mom and dad. These tiny moments of connection have meant so much to me.

Jill MH Taber

I'm thankful every morning to wake up in America. I'm especially thankful this year for all of the time we spent at the family ranch. My kids keep me running, but I wouldn't trade them for the world; I'm blessed to be married to a man who works hard and makes us laugh.

As a travel junkie on hold, I’m so grateful to live here in Montana during this pandemic, where there is no limit to the mountains, rivers, ghost towns, ski hills, trails and lakes to discover.  I’m thankful for this time to explore and appreciate the experiences we have right here at our fingertips. I am reminded that Montana is the travel others dream of.

Susie Wall

This year I am thankful first and foremost for my health and the health of my friends and family. I am especially thankful for the many things we find it easy to take for granted. A home, a loving partner, cherished family, good friends, and food on the table.
