Beloved, Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School, Language Arts teacher, Phillip Solomon, lives to "aspire to inspire". He contributes to the school community by overseeing the seventh-grade environmental trip, directing the Spring Musical, advising the Newspaper Club and Wellness Club and choreographing the BRHS Cheerleading Squad. Outside of school, Mr. Solomon teaches dance and fitness classes while pursuing competitive bodybuilding.
Students are thankful to have Mr. Solomon as a teacher, and here’s what he's thankful for in return:
1. My students, who motivate me to be a better teacher, role model and person. As society becomes increasingly difficult to navigate, with regard to social media, peer pressure, and self-discovery, I admire each of these kids for remaining resilient and optimistic.
2. My family, who has always been a sounding board for my crazy ideas. Whether they are there with an encouraging word, or a, "Nope, not your best plan," they are always honest.
3. My dancers, who continue to teach me the value of hard work. Their dedication and devotion to their craft, propels my artistry to the next level.
4. My exercise community, who push me to better myself by inspiring my drive and determination.
5. My teacher tribe, who motivates me as they demonstrate leadership, compassion and selflessness.
