Cool, Calm and Collected

Sandra Asdourian

When Sandra Asdourian approached this engaging design project for her Naples client, she started from the ground up.

“Our jumping-off point was the area rug, which we selected first from Naples Designer Rugs Center, paired with a neutral sofa from Arhaus. We wanted a casual coastal vibe to create a calming design, inspired by the color blue, my client's favorite color.” says Sandra, whose eponymous firm is based in Naples. “The rug's dramatic play of colors worked perfectly with their existing travertine floors.”

Sandra Asdourian Interiors specializes in biophilic coastal contemporary designs. Biophilic design is the practice of connecting people and nature within our built environments and communities.

Sandra believes the meaning of luxury is comfort. “When your home feels comfortable, it affects your mood and your health,” she notes.

Next up on this project, Sandra’s vision included mixing metals and a calm color palette with the swivel chairs and nickel chandelier. The warm saddle tone of the custom leather cocktail ottoman and brass tables complement the pillows and throw that then add a soft layer of color. The coastal-inspired lamp by Regina Andrew adds a bit of texture. The cool colors bring brightness to the space, and the warmth balances with the gold seen on the floors. Finally, the Left Bank artwork pulls all the design's colors together. The icing on the cake!
