Jam Burger No. 9 was originally published in Dish Beautiful
I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly! This thing gives me the butterflies! Ok, so my best friend is pregnant and she’s craving cheeseburgers like crazy. So I thought I’d create for her a fun, sloppy, lil big thing of glory, cheeseburger with a bit of a kick. (Get it?) Mama and baby are both gonna love this and so will you! We’ve getchur juicy ground brisket patties, melty cheddar cheese, flash fried onion straws, a lil lettuce and mayo with the special guest ingredient of the day... strawberry-jalapeño jam, all on the sexiest brioche bun.
I considered making my own jam, I have so many ideas for flavors. But then I realized how much time and effort goes into that. This is a burger, people! It’s should be simple, right? So, I googled strawberry-jalapeño jam and found some on amazon made by @NewportJerky and fell in love! This would even be great on a kind of “adult” PB+J, atop cream cheese with crackers or warm Brie, maybe even as a glaze for grilled chicken? I can’t wait to play with it more!
