Nestled amid the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Little Arrow Outdoor Resort sits on the Little River in Townsend, TN, surrounded by miles of undeveloped acreage replete with hiking trails.
“Our vision is to offer a beautiful place for friends and families to create lifelong memories year after year,” says Cassie Simpher, Director of Operations and Marketing for Little Arrow Outdoor Resort.
Locals might remember the destination when it was Tremont Campground, which welcomed visitors for generations. Purchased at auction in 2017, major renovations took place before the resort opened in April 2018. Cassie’s parents, Brad and Carmen Simpher, co-own the resort with Cassie’s aunt and uncle, Kevin and Chelly Clayton.
“We cater towards families and outdoor enthusiasts,” says Cassie. “People who love nature and love the mountains really get the most out of their stay.”
The site offers RV sites, cabins, “glamping tents,” and even tiny homes. Accommodations feature cozy touches, like wood-burning fireplaces and plush bedding. In addition to easy river access, the resort also features a new zero-entry pool with a hot tub and splash pad and a clubhouse offering on-site activities. The resort also has fun services like decor packages and “stock-the-fridge packages,” where the staff will decorate a room for a special occasion or get groceries so that visitors can enjoy their vacation.
There will soon be a new event venue opening, “The Lookout,” that can seat up to 125 people, ideal for weddings, reunions, conferences, and retreats.
