Get Your Skin in the Game

Nighttime is the Right Time to Give Your Skincare Routine a Boost!

A consistent nighttime skincare routine is key to keeping your skin healthy and hydrated. Sloane Avendano, Ramsey Aesthetics Supervisor at The Fountain Spa advises clients to understand how to cleanse and hydrate their skin.

“Be sure to remove your makeup and cleanse your skin each evening before bed,” says Sloane. “While we sleep, our body’s natural repair and rejuvenation mechanisms go to work; so it’s important to choose a night-focused product to amplify the body’s own natural anti-aging functions. Another tip for mature skin is to add hyaluronic acid which increases the skin’s ability to retain moisture.”

Sloane advises younger clients to incorporate BHA salicylic acid to break down and control excessive oil production to minimize breakouts.

“Change your pillowcases regularly, get enough sleep, drink plenty of water, and exercise regularly to oxygenate skin tissue. Eating a well-balanced diet, minimizing stress and seeing your esthetician for a facial on a monthly basis can all help keep your skin smooth and beautiful,” says Sloane.
