This fall, Kendra Scott releases her fall lineup of jewelry with a theme that encapsulates the desire for freedom and exploration the world is feeling today.

With the theme of “Wonderlust,” the Kendra Scott fall line takes on an edgier feel with darker stones like Gold Mauve Abalone, Plum Kyocera Opal and Black Diamonds, but with new styles that hint at mysterious and exotic locales with the Shiva line and the Baroque styles.

While the transitional fall release dropped in August, the Wonderlust Collection officially hit Kendra Scott stores in Oklahoma City on Sept. 8, with the final fall selection dropping on Oct. 6. Kendra Scott stores are located at 1452 S. Bryant Ave. in Edmond and at 5810 N. Classen Blvd., Ste. 2, at Classen Curve in Oklahoma City.

“Wonderlust is the theme, for obvious reasons. After this past year, everyone’s been taking so many vacations and going everywhere that they possibly can,” said Annie Davenport, regional marketing and philanthropic manager - Oklahoma.

“That ‘wonderlust’ reflects everyone having childlike wonder about the world again because we feel like we've been robbed of it for a while.”

August’s release featured more transitional pieces in metals that are fit and perfect for layering.

“Layering is a thing, and much like you do in any transitional season, you layer. You can layer your jewelry, too,” Annie said.

“We have one that we're really excited about called the Britt Beaded Suite, which is made from small stones that are hand-wired together.” This suite, she said, is inspired by Western fashion and nostalgic interior design.

In September, fall colors come to play with stones like the Gray Banded Agate and the Baroque detailing on the classic styles of Kendra Scott.

“The Elisa pendant is a popular necklace we’ve had, but we like to give her a facelift every once in a while and reimagine our champion,” Annie noted.

“The same with the Ella Drop Earrings. They also have more edgy detail around it. We also have the gold mauve abalone, and abalone is the inside shell of a mollusk. We use those natural markings and we alter it to whatever color we like.”

The Fall Collection also features more sparkle in the last fall release, hinting at the holiday season to come. Little crystals and big gold chain links make their appearance, as does the “Gemma” (resembling an upside-down bison horn) collections.

“The Shiva statement line is just gorgeous!” Annie exclaimed.

Kendra Scott also released a masculine line earlier this year, Scott Brothers by Kendra Scott, designed by her sons. Crafted with sterling silver, the masculine bracelets are designed to be hardy and low maintenance. The bracelets feature stones like brown tiger’s eye, blue Lapis, banded agate and turquoise jasper.

“Matthew McConaughey and Payton Manning have pieces,” Annie said. “What’s more, 20% of each sale of the Cade bracelet goes to Payton Manning’s Children's Hospital Foundation and other youth causes throughout the rest of the year.”

However, October isn’t just the month for the fall collection—it’s also the month that is dear to Kendra Scott’s heart: Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Kendra Scott Give Back

To Kendra Scott, jewelry is also a way to make a difference, and one of the company’s top priorities is philanthropic giving.

The iconic designer introduced a separate line dedicated to breast cancer awareness, and Scott herself was just inducted into the Breast Cancer Research Fund in 2019.

“Kendra lost her best friend five years ago to metastatic breast cancer. When that happened, she really flipped a switch and made sure that every single store that we have supports breast cancer in some way,” Annie recalled. “Locally, we do this by supporting organizations like Susan G. Komen and Project 31, which is an amazing breast cancer support group here.”

Nationally in honor of Kendra’s friend Holley Rothell Kitchen, the company promotes “Holley Day” on Oct. 13. Watch Kendra talk about this here: youtube.com/watch?v=MunBjH2KTrQ

“Before Holley passed away, she went to a retreat that is run by a group called Inheritance of Hope. Inheritance of Hope puts on retreats for families who have a member with a terminal illness,” Annie explained. “They have therapists there and the family goes to Disney World and do all sorts of really fun things.”

The philanthropy doesn’t end there. Kendra Scott has donated over $30 million to philanthropic causes through its Kendra Gives Back in-store and online parties held throughout the year.

“We have three pillars in Kendra Scott: Family, Fashion and Philanthropy,” Annie said. “Locally, we give back where it makes sense to. Mental health is a big priority now, and what we do makes a difference in our communities.”

Oklahoma Children’s Hospital at OU Health, for instance, is part of the Kendra Cares program, in which employees bring a customizable “color bar” to the hospital to work with the kids to make jewelry for themselves and one other person who helps them, whether that be nurse or mom.

“Kendra Scott as a company is 95% female, and it’s an incredible company to be a part of and to help raise money for others,” Annie said.
