Two family-friendly marina resorts and full-service yachting facilities are situated among the prime cruising grounds of Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay at Rock Hall. The two destinations offer what the owners and managers assert are a unique blend of amenities, repair services and lodging that make them true boaters’ paradises unlike any others found on the Bay.

"We boast a world-class boatyard that's run by experienced, in-house professionals who service powerboats and sailboats of numerous sizes," says Woody Loller, Haven Harbour Marina Resorts general manager. "Everything guests desire during visits to the Eastern Shore’s most comfortable and luxurious boating destination can be found here at Haven Harbour Marina Resorts."

An added bonus is that as a certified clean marina, the Haven Harbour team wholeheartedly supports the Maryland Department of Natural Resources' Clean Marina Initiative to protect Maryland's natural resources. The program focuses on facility best management practices, a trash-free sea, as well as pollution control associated with vessel repairs, petroleum transfers, sewage disposal, hazardous wastes and stormwater runoff.

“Our two locations are full-service, offering boaters from across the region a professional experience, no matter the job,” says Woody. “We do everything from engine work, paint and fiberglass repair to carpentry, refrigeration, electronics, winterization, storage and more.”

For those who want to stay the night or weekend, the Inn at Haven Harbour offers a variety of nautical-themed rooms. “The Inn includes 19 rooms ranging in size and accommodations,” says Dottie Wetmore, Inn manager. “Among these is our Pilot House, a full-house rental that offers both privacy and convenience to guests traveling in larger groups.”

The Inn even provides a complimentary, continental breakfast made fresh on-site every morning, earning rave reviews from guests.

Haven Harbour's Manor House and Cottage, with panoramic views of Swan Creek, are ideal for waterfront weddings. Dottie says they also host rehearsal dinners, class reunions, corporate events, fitness or health retreats, family reunions, friends' weekends or holiday parties. The team's five buildings offer a wide variety of accommodations, with indoor activity space for 50 and an outdoor event lawn for 300 people. There's also an on-site pool, picnic pavilion, children's playground, kayaking, paddleboarding, shuffleboarding, bicycling and outdoor games.

Being a dog-friendly property at the marinas and select Inn rooms, along with a dog walk, is another plus for families who enjoy doing excursions together.

Haven Harbour South's amenities include the Admirals Club, with an upstairs private lounge for slipholders and a brand new beachside bar and grill (yet to be named), for also overlooking Rock Hall Harbor. Guests also can unwind in a cabana on the property, gather with friends at a fire pit, or watch one of the spot's dazzling sunsets on the resort's newly installed beach.

The stunning, overall location of Rock Hall has been recognized as the “Most Charming Chesapeake Town,” "Best Bay Town for Dogs," "Most Bike-friendly Town," and “Best Small Museum” – being Haven Harbour’s very own Waterman’s Museum. The museum includes exhibits on oystering, crabbing and fishing. A reproduction of a shanty house is on display, along with historical photographs, local carvings, artifacts and of course, boats. It's open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and by appointment.

Referenced as a "first class, professional marina" by neighboring business owners and community leaders, Haven Habour personnel have a reputation of taking extra steps to exceed expectations. Many of the resort's customers vow they'd like to move in for the whole summer and just keep enjoying its peaceful ambiance, entertainment and gorgeous views.

The resort’s original location, Haven Harbour Marina, was established in 1986. Now, with 200-plus fixed and floating slips, a fuel dock, marine store and on-site Passages Bar & Grill, guests visiting by boats or vehicles may experience the allure and simple pleasures of the Chesapeake Bay region.

Beginning in April through October, the Haven Harbour marinas, resorts, amenities and helpful staff will be open and available seven days a week.
