2020 has been a interesting year for fashion. Wearing more casual looks with minimal styling has become the norm. Comfort and ease is the name of the game when it comes to getting dressed these days. This year fall fashion is all about loving your basics and styling them with pieces you already own to create the perfect outfits! One of the most versatile wardrobe pieces is the classic denim jacket.

I've been doing some trend research on this beloved wardrobe piece and I have discovered the denim jacket is one of the hottest items you can wear this season. Coated denim, distressed denim, stone washed denim, Sherpa-lined denim jackets, and even bleached or splattered denim jackets are trending right now.

One key style that keeps catching my eye is the slightly oversized, straight fit, and longer length of the denim jackets. I've actually purchased two denim jackets from the Men's department this season for that very reason. Women's fits tend to be more form fitted and not as long, so I decided the men's fit was much more comfortable and created the look I was actually looking for. I also love that the Men's versions have a more loose fitting sleeve which makes layering sweat shirts and sweaters underneath a lot more comfortable without creating too much bulk -- Perfect!

If you are on the hunt for a new denim jacket with a slightly more relaxed fit, I will link several of my favorite Men's options below! Remember to size down and cuff the sleeves for some added styling.
