When it comes to interior design, luxury can often be found in the smallest of details. By simplifying the clutter and turning the focus to fabrics and finishes, Cary resident and local realtor Tina Caul transformed her family's home into a personal oasis.
"Our home is a place our family can truly sit back, relax and enjoy one another," Tina says. "We live a busy life, so we wanted to create a space where we can escape it all."
The couple painted the home's brick exterior to match the style of the interior and spent $100,000 updating the kitchen to give it a timeless, Hamptons-style feel. They also chose to replace all the interior lights with Regina Andrews fixtures.
Tina and her husband, Kevin, also a realtor, moved into their residence in 2018 and quickly made it their own. By pulling in mixed metals, gorgeous wood tones and creamy fabrics, Tina created a simple and luxurious canvas upon which she can introduce pops of color through rugs, decor and even botanicals.
And, according to Tina, it can be easy and affordable for Triangle residents to bring a little luxury into their own homes.
"There are so many small things you can do to make your home feel a little more opulent," Tina says. "Whether it's bringing in an arrangement of fresh flowers or upgrading to higher-quality bedding, it's those little touches that can make a big difference."
