The leaves are changing and temperatures are dropping, and that can only mean one thing—the holidays are right around the corner.
Vicky Serany and Elizabeth O’Neal, designers with Cary-based Southern Studio Interior Design, met the Cary Lifestyle team at Lavender Oaks Farm in Chapel Hill to set the perfect Thanksgiving table.
From choosing a nontraditional color palette to layering textures, Vicky and Elizabeth share their best tips and tricks to make sure your holiday table is the talk of the town.
Vicky and Elizabeth's Tips:
+ Our goal was to create a warm and inviting table setting for fall without using traditional colors.
+ A color palette of copper, navy blue, eggplant and creams set the stage.
+ Layering textures always provides beautiful interest.
+ A carefully crafted combination of traditional dinnerware mixed with eggplant-colored glass dishes gives a unique twist to the table.
+ Repeating design elements will create a cohesive look.
+ We used a collection of copper containers filled with flowers for a more organic and interesting centerpiece.
+ Adding seasonal elements, such as white pumpkins and cabbage, enhances the festive spirit.
