Countryside Woodcraft

Ideal White Kitchen: An Enduring Classic

Countryside Woodcraft Handcrafted Kitchen and Home Furnishings was started 25 years ago in a two car garage by Ron Hess and Brain Boll. The mission was to provide job opportunities and teach the art of craftsmanship by building chairs. It didn't take long for the community to ask for tables, hutches, and soon bedroom furniture. The reputation for this fine-crafted furniture quickly grew and customers were soon asking for Kitchen Cabinetry.

In 2000, the Countryside Woodcraft team established build their current shop and 6,500 square foot showroom located at 665 Huntington Road in Russell, MA. Kitchen cabinets have become big part of the business, but not the sole focus. If you have not visited them yet, you are missing out! “We welcome folks to visit the shop, attached to the showroom, where all the action happens,” says Ron Hess, Master Craftsmen. He further goes on to say, “While the cabinets are still built by hand, the craftsmen utilize modern and sophisticated equipment to build high quality custom cabinets that we fully expect to serve your family for generations to come. It is a great place to visit and experience a showroom full of kitchen cabinetry and beautiful handcrafted furniture.”

In 2006, their second showroom was opened about an hour from Westfield, in Ghent, NY. It is here, in Upstate NY, where Architect Christina Griffin and Kitchen Designer Lawrence Martin of Countryside Woodcraft, collaborated on this classic elegant kitchen with a touch of modern accents.

This family kitchen serves up as a peaceful space for family and friends alike. It is thoughtfully designed, showcasing functionally and openness.  "Stately and Subdued" beautifully describe the integrated refrigerator, and dishwasher panels that seamlessly blend in with the hard maple cabinets in this refined white kitchen. Modern gold pendants anchor the pop of color from the oversized island, which draw your eye to the tiled mosaic above the gas range. Cup pulls on the bottom cabinets add a touch of farmhouse, while the gold color keeps it modern and classic. The open bookcases give the homeowner the flexibility to showcase their personal taste. And glass cabinets highlights the eloquent china service.  Natural light softly filters through the windows onto the gorgeous white quartz countertops.
