“It is our goal, our wish to start a new holiday tradition in South Tulsa," Lori Zeller said. She is one the organizers for the event and owner of Zeller Photography. To offer something special this holiday season to South Tulsa residents, a few business owners in the shopping center Shops of Seville have decided to bring something special to enrich their Yuletide experience.
“We are calling it The Seville Express," Zeller said. The organizers have selected November 10 and December 8, from 5-8 pm as the nights the train will pull into the station. Both evenings will offer the festive and goodwill Christmas feeling that makes the season so special. Christmas Train with rides, Santa, hot chocolate, cookies, prize drawings, photos with the train / with Santa, and much more is scheduled.
“We wish to harness the excitement of the season to create a new Christmas tradition for our South Tulsa families, giving back to our South Tulsa neighborhoods and to thank them for supporting our businesses through the years,” Zeller said. She explained that she and other business owners began meetings to brainstorm ideas as to how best show their appreciation to the community. With the holiday season around the corner and Zeller’s new knowledge of Tulsa Fun Express’ train, it didn’t take long to propose a Polar Express type of event...and hopefully a long-lasting tradition in South Tulsa.
Current sponsors are Donna's Fashions, Sweet Pea Couture, the Bistro at Seville, Canterbury Lane Gifts and Zeller Photography with many more expected to get on board soon.
