Semra arrived to the US from Turkey 32 years ago and started working in Washington first as a make-up artist and then as an esthetician, counting eyelash extensions and waxing among her specialties. Another service she offers is brow lamination, a very popular treatment in demand from her customers. Lamination is the process of straightening and lifting the eyebrow hairs. The result is a fuller and longer look to the brows.
The one service the salon offers for boosting eyelashes is what is known as the keratin lash lift. This procedure involves lifting the lash from its base to the tip, showing the full length of the lift. And unlike lash extensions or fake lashes, the lash lift lasts weeks longer than the other options.
Semra DC offers its clients total privacy, which is one reason why it's preferred by so many high-profile Washingtonians. Semra does not accept walk-ins – registration is online and the majority of her clients hear about her services from word of mouth.
