The location of the store in Downtown Wellen is perfect, says Rene. “Wellen Park is welcoming, with a thoughtful design. Having so much outside usable space compliments the coastal feel of the area. Plus, I can take a golf cart to work.”
Rene previously worked as a wholesale account executive and real estate investor in Atlanta, but she has nurtured a passion for design. “I always enjoyed the design aspect of what helps to sell a home,” she says. Mike, a former tennis pro, spent his time in Atlanta as a Director of Tennis, and brings his organizational skills to the business.
Married just over 10 years, Mike and Rene’s decision to launch Breakwater Home Fashions was driven by their desire to work together and build something they were both passionate about. They also wished to take advantage of the fantastic opportunities Florida has to offer, including the beautiful weather, breathtaking sunsets and sunrises, and stunning beaches.
