Jake has focused a lot of energy on giving back to the community. He partners with charities and nonprofits like Habitat for Humanity, Big Brother/Big Sister, Blessing Thrift Store and Bikes for Vets, to name a few. Get It Gone is always looking for outlets for items that they remove that still have some life left in them. When the Covid 19 pandemic hit Get It Gone took the initiative to donate thousands of surgical face masks and hundreds of Tyvek suits to medical facilities like Sarasota Memorial and Venice Bayfront Regional Hospital as well as hospitals in New Hampshire and the Greater Boston area. Get It Gone also organized a massive initiative to support frontline workers at Venice Bayfront Regional Hospital, along with over 20 fellow business owners in the area that donated over $2000 to feed the hospital staff in the middle of the Covid crisis. Partnering with Sharky's on the Pier and Ciao Gelato, the entire staff at VBRH was able to enjoy delicious food and recharge.
