Founded in 2014, Owner Matt Reichel built the first camper in his garage on Boreas Pass in Breckenridge. After moving the company to Arvada in 2016, it has grown with the overland industry.
Every single Boreas Camper comes with a heavy duty steel chassis, independent suspension, and all terrain tires to make sure your camper is as offroad capable as the tow vehicle pulling it. With 20” of ground clearance, Boreas Campers can handle washed out fire roads, rocky terrain, and even water crossings-all designed to get you to your off grid campsite.
The Boreas XT comes fully outfitted for self-supported trips with 30 gallons of water, a stainless steel sink and stove, Truma C60 fridge/freezer, instant hot water shower, 11 lbs of propane and 100w Zamp solar panel and charge controller. The fully insulated cabin boasts an R-8 insulation rating and includes a queen mattress, oversized cabinetry, Maxxair fan and forced air furnace. And, it all fits in the standard garage!
Boreas Campers is one of a handful of teardrop manufacturers that have eliminated wood from the construction of the camper. Those elements have been replaced with composite, and aluminum and steel components, making the trailer lighter, more rigid, and stronger to handle even more of a beating off road. Because of this, the trailer is also immune to the degrading capabilities of bugs and moisture, extending the life of the trailer and extending the life of your adventures!
Boreas Campers are built right here in Arvada by our skilled craftsmen. They come with a lifetime warranty on the chassis and exoskeleton and a standard 2 year limited warranty on top of that.
On the 2021 model, Cruisemaster CRS2 suspension was installed. This suspension is the crème de la crème in Australia, the birthplace of overlanding, and one of the toughest testing arenas for offroad components. Boreas Campers is the first North American manufacturer to install Cruisemaster suspension standard on all their models and we are excited to explore the Rockies with this new tool!
