Planning a trip during the holidays doesn't have to be a daunting task. With a little planning, patience and some holiday magic, you’ll be off to travel bliss without breaking the bank or your holiday spirit!

  • Use a travel agent who will discount, monitor and search for the best fares. Try downloading a flight price monitoring app such as Hopper to alert you when your flight price changes.
  • Book in advance and consider traveling a day or two before or after peak dates to find cheaper flights and less crowds.
  • If you have a wholesale club membership, purchase gift cards for your airlines, cruise, or theme park and generally save up to 5%.
  • Pack versatile clothing items that can be mixed and matched. Opt for travel-sized toiletries or purchase them at your destination.
  • Pack a carry-on only when flying and use a tracking device such as an AppleAirTag or Tile so you know where your bags are at all times.
  • Bring a reusable bag. It's handy for carrying those gifts and souvenirs back home without pushing your luggage over the weight limit.
  • Ship your gifts to your destination instead of lugging them with you; packages are usually delivered within just a few days.
  • Purchase travel insurance. A good policy can cover everything from flight delays, lost luggage, sickness even lost cell phones. Never leave home without it!

Happy and safe holiday travels!
