Jurgita Janus, owner of the Beautel studio in Southlake, specializes in creating semi-permanent brows. Her services include microblading, shading and other brow techniques, which she learned by training at a prestigious beauty school in Europe. To perfect her skills, she has personally trained with world-renowned permanent makeup masters in the United Kingdom, Spain, Lithuania and the U.S. She has a mastery of various pigment application techniques to achieve a natural eyebrow look.

Jurgita’s art is like painting on a beautiful canvas. She applies the Phi golden ratio – the most aesthetically pleasing proportion measurement, widely used in art, architecture and even plastic surgery.

“I begin by finding the center of the forehead, then measuring where the eyebrows should start, where the tail should end, and where the highest arch point should be for each individual face,” Jurgita says. “The facial symmetry that ranges closest to this golden ratio is perceived as the most beautiful to the human eye.”

Jurgita does semi-permanent lip and eyeliner makeup as well, but prefers to specialize in eyebrows, as this treatment area provides her the most fulfillment.

“The biggest ‘before and after’ brow results are the most satisfying. There is such a difference. Clients are so thrilled, and that happiness is just priceless. They instantly look more beautiful and refreshed. Fuller brows can also erase time, with some clients immediately looking up to 10 years younger after treatment,” she says.

Jurgita is even able to recreate, or reconstruct, eyebrows where clients have none, such as with alopecia patients. She provides her services free for such clients, saying she wants to “give back to the community” whenever she can.

The techniques she applies are all semi-permanent, which require touchups over time. At the initial, free consultation, Jurgita discusses different techniques with new clients, goes over their expectations, and advises on the most beautiful brow shape tailored to their specific facial features.

For those seeking a very natural, hair stroke look, the eyebrow hairs are drawn one at a time. Shading is a perfect option for clients who prefer more of a soft makeup look. However, Jurgita often combines both techniques to achieve a realistic and more defined brow look.

“People get a beautiful, perfect shape no matter what they choose, according to their facial features. There is no one brow shape that suits all - that’s why I use a very important mapping technique before we apply the pigment,” Jurgita says.

Jurgita always goes for the best, strives to learn from the best, and gives it her all to provide the best quality services to her clients.

She recently completed training for a new hair stroke technique that offers a more natural look and is gentler to the skin than microblading.

“To look more beautiful, refreshed and younger,” Jurgita says, “it sometimes only takes a millimeter or so of artistry to make a big difference in the face.”

About Jurgita and her family

Jurgita grew up in Lithuania, a country of only three million people. Her husband is a telecommunications expert, and the family moved to the U.S. for his job.

The couple have two daughters, ages 21 and 11. Their older daughter is studying neuroscience at Texas Christian University and hopes to enter the medical field in the future. She also is a singer and songwriter, currently professionally recording her first album. Her music will soon be released on YouTube, Spotify and other music platforms. Through her passions and interests, she has found some interesting connections between music and neuroscience, relaxation and emotional wellbeing.

Their youngest daughter, who is in the fifth grade, is an incredible painter, her mother proudly says.

“She is already painting as an adult, and has received several honors for her art,” Jurgita says. “She explores watercolors, charcoal, acrylics, and is now ready to start working on serious oil techniques. She paints everything, from landscapes, to animals, to intricate architectural designs.”

Jurgita loves to travel with her family – anywhere across both Europe and the U.S. Everywhere they go, her younger daughter has her sketchbook handy. Together, they all find inspiration and joy from exploring new places. The family has a miniature poodle named Tucci, who travels along with them.

They especially enjoy living in Texas.

“Spring and the Texas bluebonnets are so charming. It is amazing to be able to enjoy so much time outdoors,” Jurgita says. “The people here are very friendly and welcoming. I feel blessed every day.”
