At RCB Bank, You Have Choices

Since Its Founding During The Great Depression, Bank's Goal Has Been to Be 'Friendly in Service and Progressive in Spirit'

When it comes to banking, the folks at RCB Bank know you have choices. That’s why they go above and beyond to help their customers feel safe and secure in all their banking transactions. Ranked the No. 1 bank in Oklahoma by Forbes for 2020, RCB Bank also takes an active role in our community.

RCB Bank was founded by L.S. Robson in Claremore on Jan. 4, 1936, as a way to help local citizens keep their farms and businesses afloat during the Great Depression. Then, as now, its goal has been to be “friendly in service and progressive in spirit” and to “meet the financial needs of its communities, its businesses and its customers.”

“RCB stands for Relationships, Community and Boldness,” notes Leisl Sackschewsky, communications coordinator for the bank, which has branches in Norman, Oklahoma City and Edmond. “To us, relationships matter. An excellent customer experience is our mission. At RCB Bank, we don’t just provide a service for customers – we build relationships. We pride ourselves as being ethical, trustworthy and sincere.”

Adding that RCB Bank is a community bank, she said, “We don't just sponsor an event, we participate. We are sensitive to the needs of our community and we respond accordingly.”

“RCB Bank embraces a bold approach because we are a bold bank!” said Norman RCB Market President Sean Fuller. “We embrace technology, empower our employees, and our customers are rewarded. We are proud of the services we provide. We are continuously working to build our digital services to provide the convenience of banking anywhere at any time.”

In 2016, RCB Bank launched its first instaBank in Norman, housing two Interactive Teller Machines. ITMs can do much more than ATMs, including video chat with a real banker during video banker hours. Plus, the ITMs can handle most banking needs 24/7.

“RCB Bank builds communities,” Liesl added. The bank hosts local events and supports several local charitable organizations and employees are encouraged to get involved in community activities.

Last year, the bank donated more than half a million dollars to area schools, local nonprofits and civic groups. RCB Bank and its employees are a major proponent of United Way, donating over $40,000 to United Way so far this year, including a 100% match from RCB Bank itself. Locally, some of their employees serve with the Financial Alliance of Norman and the Financial Stability Council with Norman United Way, as well as the University of Oklahoma Alumni Association and Price College of Business Alumni Association.

In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, RCB Bank implemented a variety of measures to assist customers, including a three-month loan deferment, temporary waiver of fees for their Bank Anywhere (online and mobile) products, PPP participation through a fully online process, development of an online deposit account application, offering additional services  through the drive-thru and, of course, additional cleaning protocols.

RCB Bank offers a full-service banking relationship with flexible banking solutions to meet their customers’ diverse lifestyles and financial needs. These include rewards checking accounts that pay; competitive loan rates; mortgage options with local decision making; trust and financial planning; farm and ranch management; business banking; and cash management services.

For convenience, customers have access to Bank Anywhere services, including a mobile banking app, mobile deposit, text and online banking, bill pay, and an Anytime Banker Phone Line.

Sean invites Cleveland County Lifestyle readers to meet with one of their representatives at any of their locations to find out more about the benefits of becoming an RCB bank customer.

“We are proud to be serving Cleveland County and want to be your bank,” he declared. “Stop by to see why our customers always say, ‘That’s my bank!’“
