Sprawling greens, sparkling lakes, and rolling hills serve as a stunning backdrop at Black Gold Golf Club, making this lovely location the picture-perfect setting for an array of activities and events.

From staying active with regular golf outings to hosting weddings, charity events, corporate functions, business meetings, and much more—including the Yorba Linda City Championship—Black Gold offers a distinctive experience for everyone and every occasion.

Choose from a state-of-the-art lighted driving range, lush putting green, 20,000 square foot clubhouse, or full-service Derricks Grille to dazzle and delight yourself or your guests.

For those planning to say, “I do,” surrounded by unmatched elegance, a breathtaking wedding lawn venue and patio overlook the 10th and 18th holes, backdropped by rolling hills.  To be sure all your needs are met, Derricks Grille provides a full-service grille.

This wonderful location marks just one of many that are ideal for celebrating your nuptials in signature style, not to mention a fully stocked golf shop and delectable dining options just steps away.

Relax, sip or snack outdoors on the covered patio at Derricks Grille, home to what is widely known as the best French fries in Southern California, all while feasting your eyes on the tranquil waterfall, lake, and rolling vistas.

Whether you’re relaxing after a round of golf or meeting up with friends and family, you can drink in the sunny sights of Orange County and Yorba Linda, including panoramic views of the golf course.

If you prefer a delightful indoor dining experience, the expansive clubhouse offers an upscale, inviting setting for everyone at your party.

Black Gold Golf Club is also committed to giving back to the local community that has continuously welcomed them with open arms.

Throughout the year, they host several events designed to benefit local charities.

Black Gold was humbled with the opportunity to give back to The Folds of Honor Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps provide the families of fallen and disabled service members with educational scholarships, during a special golf tournament held in November 2021.

This past year also marked the Club’s first annual Holiday Bash, benefitting the organization's Operation Santa Claus and Senior Santa & Friends.

Black Gold greatly appreciates the pivotal role fellow local businesses played in the collaborative success of the events by donating and supporting their time, products, and talents to such worthy causes.

Looking ahead, the team hopes to continue this spirit of philanthropy and community togetherness, with a goal of growing to at least three or four annual charitable events, benefitting either local and/or national organizations in the years to come.

That “giving back” mentality is something that Black Gold’s Tournament/Marketing Director Brian Suk feels resonating throughout the entire Yorba Linda area.

“One of my goals is to find a way to give back. We are truly grateful for everyone and look forward to years and years of making a difference in our community,” he says.

For the creative minds and hearts that comprise Black Gold’s professional staff, planning and executing these events with exquisite attention to detail are all part of a bigger mission—continuing to develop new and unique ways to make memorable experiences for all who visit Black Gold Golf Club, as well as the greater community.

“We do things because we care. Being a part of this team isn’t a job—it’s a vision, a goal, and something we love to be a part of!” says Brian.

Brian recalls the seemingly instantaneous transformation that occurred at Black Gold as soon as General Manager Rich Cessna joined the team a few years ago.

“Rich has been in the golf industry for over 40 years and began putting his stamp on things the moment he stepped on the property,” says Brian.

“From that very moment, things began to change. A team was created that coincides with the vision of not only Mr. Cessna, but our Director of Golf, Joe Reilly, Catering and Events Manager, Joni Egger, and Head Chef, Ron Armendariz.”

In addition to socializing and networking opportunities, hitting the course to brush up on the basics or showcase your skills is always an option for staying physically fit and getting a daily dose of exercise while satisfying your taste for a little healthy competition.

Members can play for leisure or sport, take lessons from the pros, or join the men’s or women’s clubs for added athletic endeavors.

“We have seen more and more people being introduced to the game or being welcomed back,” he says. “Black Gold has been a great place for people to learn, sharpen, and enjoy the skills needed to play this great sport we all love.”

At Black Gold Golf Club, it’s safe to say that your tee time or tea time, philanthropic event, or celebratory affair is guaranteed to be remarkable.
