In honor of our “Love Local” theme this month, we interviewed Assistant General Manager Jennifer Vitale to learn more about locally-owned Subaru of Las Vegas’ Subaru Love Promise. According to her, the Love Promise is Subaru's way of spreading hope and love as far as possible.
"There are five pillars under the Subaru Love Promise; Subaru Loves the Earth, Subaru Loves to Care, Subaru Loves to Help, Subaru Loves Learning, and Subaru Loves Pets,” Jennifer explained. “That's why we work with a diverse range of organizations; it's an integral part of our existence."
Subaru has taken the concept of selling vehicles and turned it into a way to give back to the community. On a national level, they host The Subaru Share The Love Event and partner with multiple non-profits organizations throughout the year.
"On a direct level, we also like to create opportunities to connect with individuals in the community through our own initiatives," Jennifer explained. "To share a few of the many, we have our Road To College Scholarship where a local high school senior gets selected to receive a $10,000 scholarship for their postgraduate education, our Save A Pet Program where a local will receive financial assistance for their pet that might be in need, and our Hometown Hero program where we honor a local first responder who has made a difference in someone's life."
The Subaru family believes people are the true heartbeat of this city, and giving back to the community is the right thing to do. They partner with like-minded organizations to make as big of a positive impact as possible.
"We believe in being a positive force in the community where we live and work, not just with donations, but with actions that set an example for others to follow," declared Jennifer.
You'll often find her and other Subaru of Las Vegas employees getting involved in giving back. They volunteer at The Just One Project to load free groceries into vehicles of families in need. They visit children in the hospital during the holiday season to bring them love and joy. It's all part of the Subaru Love Promise.
