4EVR DEZ is a nonprofit with two movements in the area, Project Formal and Project Period. The name 4EVR DEZ was derived from Desirea Sierra, Taxie's 11-year-old daughter who was killed through an act of domestic violence and unfortunately never attended a high school formal event. Taxie Lambert, along with her daughter Katelyn Lambert, volunteers and board members honor Desirea by empowering students through inclusion and equality.

How does Project Formal identify and engage with eligible students, ensuring that the donations reach those in greatest need?

Empowering students for inclusion and equality, we collaborate with organizations, schools, and communities, ensuring support reaches those most in need.

What broader impact does Project Formal have on students' high school experiences?

Project Formal boosts students' confidence and belonging by providing formal wear, transforming their self-view and social standing through Trunk Shows that offer styling, alterations, and a sense of community.

What are the main challenges facing Project Formal in achieving its mission, and in what ways can the community support these efforts?

Facing funding challenges, Project Formal's costs include cleaning, rentals, and operations. Limited access to donated space hinders us, but goals include retail space and a van for outreach, achievable with community support and donations.

What future growth or expansion does Project Formal envision, and are there any upcoming projects or initiatives that excite you?

Project Formal aims for retail space to broaden our reach beyond school events, impacting the Gulf Coast and Alabama. We're expanding our ambassador program and planning a fundraiser to convert unsuitable donations into scholarships, supporting wider community needs.

In 2021, a group of moms led by Taxie Lambert founded the idea, and Project Formal planted its roots in Santa Rosa County. In 2022, Taxie Lambert rebranded Project Formal to become officially associated with 4EVR DEZ, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and expanded to serve all Northwest Florida High School students.
