A Winning Partnership

Georgia Grown's 2024 Executive Chefs

Atlanta's dining scene is one of high-class, elegant culinary presentation and a dash of Southern hospitality. Hundreds of Atlanta-based restaurants chart "Top Restaurant" lists nationwide. Some have even earned a coveted Michelin Star.

But Georgia Grown's Executive Chef program is different than those. It's a marker that signals both quality culinary skills and ingredients. The list celebrates chefs and the Georgia-based farmers and producers they source from. When Georgia Grown partnered with the Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA) to create the program, they set a precedent for both industries.

"By fostering partnerships between restaurants, suppliers and local farmers, Georgia Grown Executive Chefs are champions for culinary education, sustainability, regional economic growth and Georgia’s rich agricultural heritage," says GRA President and CEO Stephanie Fischer.

At the 2024 Taste of Georgia Legislative Reception, Georgia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper and Georgia Restaurant Association President & CEO Stephanie Fischer announced six new Executive Chefs to be added to the list.

"These culinary leaders from across the state have earned the privilege of wearing the Georgia Grown chef’s coat for their commitment to supporting Georgia agriculture by sourcing high-quality Georgia Grown ingredients from local farmers and building bridges between farmers, suppliers, restaurants and chefs," says Tyler.

Georgia Restaurant Association

With 18,933 places to grab a bite or beverage, Georgia’s restaurants need a unified voice. That’s what the Georgia Restaurant Association aims to do. Recognizing these establishments for their hard work is a key part of its mission to make Georgia a better place for restaurants and restauranteurs. The Executive Chef Program is just one of the ways they do it while supporting other essential industries like agriculture.

Georgia Grown

Since its inception, Georgia Grown has been dedicated to driving awareness and support for all of Georgia's agribusinesses by connecting them with local retailers, producers and consumers. The partnership between the following chefs and farmers is proof of Georgia Grown's success.

Just how good does a restaurant have to be for its chef to earn Executive Chef status? Find out for yourself. Visit one of these winning establishments and support the chefs and farmers behind them next time you're in Atlanta.
