Visit Yorba Regional Park

Summer fun at our local park

If you’re seeking warm-weather adventure, look no further than the action-packed offerings of Yorba Regional Park this summer.

With a list of amenities as full as its rich history, 175 acres of outdoor exploration is ready and waiting for new memories to be made at this mile-long, linear day-use park.

Originally part of a Spanish land grant, the Yorba family raised cattle and farmed the land now known as Yorba Regional Park until the early 20th century.

Later acquired by the county in 1972, the expansive and multi-functional space, which sits in the mouth of the Santa Ana Canyon in the city of Anaheim, has officially been open to the public since 1976.

Whether you consider yourself a planning perfectionist or a spontaneity seeker, your day is bound to be brimming with options from start to finish.

Individual adults, couples, and families alike can enjoy robust recreational pursuits including paddle boat and bicycle rentals, as well as trails for walking, running, or cycling to really get your heart pumping.

What about the family pets? Dogs and horses are welcome at the park, too—just make sure your furry friend is leashed, and stick to the equestrian trails with your equine companion.

Sunlit sparkling lakes make a beautiful backdrop for model boat racing and refining your fishing skills. Just drop your line in the water and unwind.

Do kids need to release some extra energy? Let them run, swing, slide, and climb on six playgrounds guaranteed to burn off steam and encourage hours of active play.

Sports-minded park visitors can flex their athleticism on the softball fields, strike up a volleyball match, enhance their horseshoe skills, or test their strength on the park’s fitness course.

If relaxation is more your speed, there’s an abundance of room to roam and rest. More than 140 acres of Yorba Regional Park is perfect for low-key activities like kite-flying, frisbee-throwing, going for a serene nature walk—even finding the perfect spot for an afternoon nap under a shady tree.

Get your creative juices flowing and take your camera, guitar, or sketch pad to the park—a bountiful blend of the sights and sounds of nature are sources of instant inspiration.

Park guests tend to work up a healthy appetite while uncovering all the area has to offer—

the perfect excuse to gather your friends and family for an outdoor feast.

Featuring an assortment of 400 picnic tables (many equipped with covered structures) and 200 barbeque stations, visitors can take their pick of spots to dine while soaking up the sunshine.

What will your day of exploits and leisure look like? The possibilities are endless. There’s only one way to find out what’s in store for sure—visit Yorba Regional Park and let the adventures begin.
