 Climb for Cancer Foundation

Sunrise Rotary and Visors Rooftop Combine Forces to Fight Cancer

The Climb for Cancer Foundation (Foundation) was created when co-founder and mountain climber, Ron Farb, decided to combine his thirst for adventure with his desire to see an end to cancer in his lifetime. He has climbed five of the seven summits, the highest peaks on the seven continents and raised over $2.5 million for patient and family support and cancer research programs.

Recently, the Foundation partnered with Visors Rooftop at Spurrier’s Gridiron Grill in Celebration Pointe and Sunrise Rotary to raise funds. Two days prior to the grand opening of Visors Rooftop, Sunrise Rotary’s members joined other diners to enjoy the drinks and excellent items on the new menu.  Thanks to the generosity of Steve Supplier and Freddie Wehbe, managing partner of Spurrier’s Gridiron Grill, all food proceeds from the evening were donated to the Foundation.  Reservations were a hot ticket.  More information about the Climb for Cancer Foundation can be found at www.climbforcancerfoundation.org and about the Rotary Club of Gainesville Sunrise at https://gainesvillesunriserotary.org.
