Losing Weight Doesn't Equal Happiness

Okay… going to be really real with you today! 

Despite popular belief - losing weight doesn’t make us happier! 

You know what makes us happier? Accomplishing things. Seeing our actions turned into results. I want to reiterate to you that you can have SO many other wins that make you FEEL GOOD without it being based on the scale! 

Look at this list for examples

  • Better energy
  • Better mood
  • Better bowel movements
  • Better digestion
  • Better confidence 
  • Better strength 
  • Better work performance 
  • Better sex life 

You get the gist! When we become SO scale focused or what I like to call “outcome based” and don’t focus on the process, then we are going to feel like we are failing all the time! 

NEWS FLASH: the scale doesn't show your true progress!!! 

I know this because I used to weigh 128lbs and now I weigh 143lbs, and guess what? I am the same size while feeling WORLDS better mentally and physically than I ever have! 

The number doesn't determine your worth or how good you feel… I PROMISE

To get results you have to focus on the process and small wins. You have to focus on building the foundation of steps that will help you reach the goal. When you do this, you gain motivation, you gain that “feel good” sensation, you gain consistency, and you gain confidence! Which all is going to reap you so much more benefit than instant gratification from a scale number moving 0.5lbs.
