Looking for the perfect romantic holiday date night? Say no more.
Cava Restaurant in Southington CT is the most magical fine dining I have been to. The holiday spirit surrounds you from the moment you walk up the entry way to the moment you leave the parking lot. This was the best date night I have had in a long time and will now be a tradition to visit every year.
The Polar Express
With over 200,000 lights it is America's most holiday decorated restaurant. We were given a tour of each room and then sat down and dined in the "Polar Express" room. I felt like a kid again and was in the movie with the train pulling right up to my house.
The Food
Started off the night with this amazing a Six Cheese Garlic Bread. The cheeses included are fontina, asiago, smoked mozzarella, abriella, aged parmesan, and provolone, with roasted garlic. Each bite had the perfect blend of salty yet savory garlic and it left you wanting more and more.
For my main meal I tried the Diver Scallops. Crispy Pancetta, Spinach & Garlic Ravioli, Miso Butter, and Baby Bok Choy. I am very particular with how I like my scallops and was blown away by the size and flavor of these, fresh from the sea scallops.
Overall
Cava was absolutely, without a doubt stunning. The whole time I kept thinking I was transported into a dream. I cannot wait to go back in years to come and make this holiday date night a tradition.
