Worlds of Fun, Kansas City’s amusement park, is open and ready to welcome guests this summer. It has implemented several new policies and procedures to keep everyone safe.

No reservations are required, but capacity restrictions are still in place. Guests must purchase a Season Pass or a ticket online before arriving at the park. If you’re not a Season Passholder, it is recommended that you purchase a parking pass to avoid paying at the parking toll booth.

At least one member of your group must download the Worlds of Fun app. Face masks and health screenings are required while visiting the park. On the day of your visit, open the mobile app and complete the Health Assessment Questionnaire. Only one questionnaire is required per group. The questionnaire must be completed each time you visit the park this summer.

Your Season Pass or admission tickets can be stored on the mobile app for contact-less entry. Parking vouchers can also be stored on the app. If you did not purchase a voucher in advance, you may pay with a cashless method such as a credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Next, you’ll pass through a thermal screening tent where your temperature will be taken digitally. If anyone in your party has a temperature of 100.4 F/38 C or higher, you will be directed to return home and reschedule your visit.

At the gate, the Worlds of Fun bag policy remains in place. Scan your Daily Ticket or Season Pass inside the mobile app at the touchless turnstiles to enter the park.

All ambassadors working at the park must complete a health assessment and temperature check each day before reporting to work to keep everyone safe.

While inside the park, you’ll see lots of reminders to:

  • Wash your hands every 20 minutes. There are many hand sanitizer stations throughout the park.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Wear your face covering at all times.
  • Maintain 6 feet of social distance between other guests and ambassadors at all times.
  • Use contactless forms of payment, such as credit cards, Apple Pay and Android Pay.
  • Be in the know by using the Worlds of Fun mobile app, which can help you find nearby restrooms, hand sanitizer stations, open dining locations and available attractions and rides.

There are also several “RelaxZones” located throughout the park where guests may take off their masks while maintaining proper social distancing. Misting areas and free water are also available to help guests stay cool during their visit.

Worlds of Fun is following strict guidelines to keep everyone safe in the restrooms. Restrooms will be sanitized frequently throughout the day and deep cleaned at the end of each day. Traffic within restrooms will be monitored to allow for proper social distancing. Please wash your hands after using the restroom.

Some areas, rides and attractions are not conducive to proper social distancing and are temporarily closed. See the Worlds of Fun mobile app to see which attractions are open.

Wait lines for open rides and attractions will be marked for proper social distancing. Some seats and rows will be unavailable to allow for social distancing. Seats, headrests and armrests will be sanitized frequently.

While dining at Worlds of Fun, you’ll notice that some tables have been removed to allow for social distancing. Distancing is also marked on the floor in waiting lines. All products are disposable, including pre-wrapped utensils. Contactless payment is encouraged.

Social distancing must be maintained in all retail and game locations. Masks must be worn in these locations, and contactless payment is encouraged.

Oceans of Fun will will remain closed for the rest of the season. The last day of operations for Worlds of Fun this season is Monday, Sept. 7.
