A brunch classic is getting a major upgrade at one of Westport’s newest restaurants! Chick-in Waffle opened at the end of January 2020, offering customer’s a twist on chicken and waffles. The shop is run by a husband and wife team, Dennis and Sara. They developed the concept after some experimenting with classic chicken and waffles. Since then, they have performed a labor of love in renovating the space and creating their brand!

Signature Combos

Their menu boasts a number of signature combinations ranging from sweet to spicy, as well as a mix of sides and add-ons. Go for a classic Chick-in waffle or spice it up with a Spicy Chick (Siracha maple) or tikka masala. All of the signatures combos feature sauces that are house made daily. They also feature another local favorite, Jerusalem KC’s hummus, to create the Walafal and Hummus speciality.

Build Your Own

If one of the specialities doesn’t catch your eye, you can build your own waffle. Each starts with crispy chicken bites, fried fresh to absolute perfection. Next, pick your waffle: traditional ice cream cone or bubble waffle. Both are made in house and fresh. The traditional cone provides more crunch while the bubble waffle is soft and subtly sweet. Once you’ve selected that, pick a sauce, or two if you’re feeling saucy, and toppings.

Sides

Sides range from cajun fries or queso to comforting classics like mac-n-cheese and mashed potatoes. Be sure to ask about the loaded fries. They aren’t a menu item, but there are several secret variations! One variation is a take on poutine. Homemade brown gravy and mozzarella cheese are layered on fries creating a melty, cheesy, savory delight.

Before heading out, be sure to check out the photo booth. Everything is set up for a selfie with your food (or friends!).
