SPRING IN LIVING COLOR: AN IMMERSIVE FLORAL EXPERIENCE IN NEW JERSEY

Article by Karen Kwong

I have an unspoken goal this year - that is to explore as many floral places in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania region as possible.

When I learned about the Spring In Living Color experience, I was beyond excited! It is a collaboration between The Floral Escape and Westfield. The exhibition is located on Level 2 Macy's Court inside the Westfield Garden State Plaza. Paramus is my hometown. I haven't visited the Mall in years. It used to be one of my favorite hangout places.

“Spring In Living Color” is a series of 5 floral activations designed for people to capture memorable moments! I love the Instagram Guide prepared by The Floral Escape. It shares the name and design inspiration of each activation in detail. So be sure to check it out!

The first stop is "The Glow Up," a floral vanity embellished with an array of yellow florals.

The second stop is "Floral Talk," a floral phone booth designed with a symphony of flowers in various orange hues.

You are encouraged to "Pose, Snap, and Post." There is a ring light with a phone holder at each activation. You can also bring tripods and professional cameras.

We visited during normal operation hours, although booking a private photo session can be inquired through their customer service. Tickets are sold online. They do a great job keeping social distancing among each group so taking a quick picture with the mask off is quite doable and feels safe. You should expect to spend around 30 - 45 minutes there depending on how busy it gets. The event will be there till June 6, 2021. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram for more information and updates.
